We want you to be satisfied with GMC Shield. This Refund Policy explains how and when you can request a refund, in addition to and without prejudice to any statutory rights you may have under the applicable law of your country of residence.
1. 7-Day Satisfaction Guarantee
For one-time Audit purchases (29 EUR) and Volume Pack purchases (3, 5, or 10 audits), we offer a 7-day satisfaction guarantee:
- if you are not satisfied with the quality, depth, or usefulness of your Audit, email us at contact@gmc-shield.com within seven (7) calendar days following the date of purchase;
- include your order reference (visible in the Stripe receipt) and a brief description of what fell short of expectations;
- we will issue a full refund through Stripe within ten (10) business days of approving the request, no questions asked beyond the order verification.
The 7-day window starts on the day the payment is captured by Stripe. For Volume Packs, the refund covers the unused credits of the pack, prorated against the per-audit price; once a credit has been consumed for an Audit, that credit is considered used.
2. Monitoring Subscription
The Monitoring tier (49 EUR per month) is a recurring monthly subscription. You may cancel at any time by emailing contact@gmc-shield.com or through the Stripe customer portal when available.
- Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period;
- You retain access to the Service until the end of that period;
- Monthly fees already invoiced for the current period are non-refundable, except where we have materially failed to deliver the Service or where required by applicable consumer law;
- We do not provide pro-rated refunds for partial months.
3. Agency Pack
Refunds for the Agency Pack are handled on a case-by-case basis under the separate Agency Agreement signed at onboarding. Contact contact@gmc-shield.com to discuss.
4. Non-Refundable Situations
We may decline a refund request in the following circumstances:
- The request is made more than seven (7) days after purchase (for one-time Audits and Volume Packs);
- Substantially all Volume Pack credits have already been consumed and the associated reports have been delivered to you;
- The purchase was used in a manner that violates our Terms of Service (e.g. fraudulent purchase, abusive resale, attempt to reverse-engineer the Service);
- Where required to comply with anti-fraud or anti-money-laundering controls.
5. How Refunds Are Issued
Approved refunds are credited back to the original payment method used through Stripe. Depending on your card issuer or bank, the refund may take 5 to 10 business days to appear on your statement.
6. Statutory Consumer Rights
Nothing in this Refund Policy limits any non-waivable statutory right that you may have as a consumer under the law of your country of residence, including any right of withdrawal applicable to consumer contracts.
Consumers in the European Union are advised that the digital nature of the Service — delivered immediately and consumed upon download of the audit report — may result in the right of withdrawal under Article 16(m) of Directive 2011/83/EU being limited once the Service has been fully performed; our 7-day satisfaction guarantee in Section 1 provides a contractual remedy that goes beyond what is strictly required.

Before opening a chargeback or any payment dispute, we kindly invite you to contact us first at contact@gmc-shield.com. We typically respond within one (1) business day and resolve refund requests cooperatively.
